2013 Challenges

These are challenges for 2013 that I will be participating in. There are a lot but I love being challenged, especially by things like reading. I will add descriptions of each challenge very soon.

I am very excited to be participating in The Dystopia Reading Challenge of 2013, which is hosted by Ula over at Blog of Erised. I love dystopias, so I hope to do well in this challenge. It basically entails reading 2 dystopias a month. Sounds more like a pleasure than a challenge!

I have more than a few unfinished series that I need to read. I figured this challenge would be the perfect way to make sure I did that. My goal is to read as many sequels as possible. Because there's no required number of sequels, I'll probably fit this challenge in around my other challenges. It's hosted by Auntie Spinelli Reads.
Hosted over at Hobbitsies.net is the Debut Author Challenge. This challenge is a great way to force me to try new books. This way I won't shy away from unknown authors. The goal of the challenge is to read and review at least 12 debuts. I'd set my goal at around 40-50 (or more) books. Yes, I am ambitious.

This is cohosted over at Creativity’s Corner and  Reading in Winter! I am excited for this challenge because I love Bingo =)  My goal is to score a blackout on the bingo card. To view the bingo card click on one of the above links.

For this challenge, hosted over at Megz Mad Reads, you have to read one book with a title that starts with each letter of the alphabet. So 26 books in all. I wanted to do this one so that when someone looks at the archive of my books reviewed, there won't be any letters with nothing under it.

This challenge is dedicated to reading those books you've been meaning to read but haven't. I have plenty of those and need to get on it, which is why I'm participating in this challenge. Read more about it at The Bookish.

2013 Standalone Reading Challenge

This is a challenge to read standalone books, which means the books cannot be in a series. I want to do this because I feel like I gravitate more toward series and am therefore missing out on a lot of good reads. It is hosted by Britta at I Like These Books.

This is a challenge I've been looking for but just now found. It is absolutely perfect for me considering I read ya and want to read more contemporary books this year. It is hosted over at Katie's Book Blog and the goal is to read/ review ya contemporary published in 2013 and link up your reviews. I'm going to put my goal at 15 books but I'll most likely exceed this (I hope!).
